On a hot summer day

Apparently the rainy season hasn't officially ended yet here in Shizuoka, though there has been a lot of sunny days lately. I know there are certain things that you can only take photos of when it is raining, but I just don't like to go out on a rainy day to shoot worrying too much about protecting my camera(s) from the rain. So when the blue sky greets us in the morning with the buzz of cicadas, I just feel like going out with a couple of my cameras even though I know I will sweat like crazy. Getting sticky with my own sweat is better than getting wet with the rain, at least for me.

Last Sunday afternoon, I had lunch with a good friend at a restaurant where another good friend works for. After good food and nice chat, there came a time for photo shooting.

I ended up kidnapping her...I mean taking her to the place near my apartment. It had been one of the places where I really wanted to take photos of her at. I was grateful that she was more than willing to let me make it happen. It was a very hot day, but somehow we enjoyed being under the sun and feeling the start of summer, just like we thought we should be.

It is natural that it is hot because it is summer. Let our bodies perspire.
(It is natural that you are down because you are sad. Let yourself shed tears.)

I had a great sunday.
