Kana

We like onsens.
We like shaved ice.

We love eating shaved ice after taking a long bath.

And we like talking.

Surprise

If you are just randomly looking at some macs at an electrical appliance store and find some photos of a guy you know on one of those iMacs on display, you will laugh and laugh till you nearly fall off the chair.

What a small town we live in.

Sky

It is time to stop looking down and look up the sky.

Some cats

Some cats hang around my parent's house.
Well, it's because I feed them.
They were waiting for dinner time. Each cat has its own spot to wait at.Interesting.

The fireworks in Yaizu

I couldn't focus on taking photos that night because my nephew wouldn't stop telling me how he thought the fireworks might play a big part in global warming.
It is sometimes interesting to talk to a 7 years old boy.

Zoo

I love penguins....even the fake ones.

The parrot was very chatty and talked to me for a good 10 minutes.
All he said was "konnichiwa" and "sayonara", though.I wanted to leave there sooner but the bird only responded to me when I said "konnichiwa" and a couple of random boys kept asking me to talk to the parrot.I always thought that the only animal language I could speak was the cat one, but who knew?

The day I went to the zoo was so freaking hot that some kids took off their clothes and played in the fountain there. It was cute, but I noticed some of their parents looking around suspiciously to guard their kids.
I felt uncomfortable walking past them holding a camera in my hand.
I am pretty sure that some old men with their big cameras who probably came to take photos of the baby polar bear felt the same way.

Davin

Fuji 645

A few weeks ago I got another camera, Fuji 645, from a friend.
Today I picked up the very first film roll that I shot with it and here they are.
Despite its difficulty of catching the rangefinder patch, the photos all turned out quite nice.(I was expecting to see more blurry crappy photos.)

With this camera, I think I would like to shoot more B/W.

At the beach

Emi

Beach

It was the first time in a while for me to go to a beach.
To be honest, I was looking forward more to taking photos there than to swim in the ocean.
That's why it took me a good 15 minutes to decide which camera/s I should take with me, while other girls would probably take the same amount of time for thinking about which swimsuits to wear.

But I ended up being in the water quite a lot of the time and I enjoyed it very much.

Since I am not a big beach gower I didn't know much about sunscreens and underestimated what they could do.I didn't mind getting tanned a bit so I put my sunscreen on my body randomly, which turned out to be a bad idea.
Now only some areas of my back and neck are red and burnt.
That is not very cool nor sexy.Oh well.

Shirley

I have so many pictures of her smiling, grining or bursting into laughter.
On saturday I caught her sadness in the picture.
I am not sure if I should have.
She is a girl with a smile on her face all the time.

But I think it is okay to let it out sometimes.
Especially when you leave the country where you have lived for 5 years.

I know this is going to sound strange, but I miss the distinct smell of her apartment.
You'd know what I'm talking about if you've been to her place.
Everytime I crashed there after drinking/clubbing I smelt like her place.
And I liked that.
So I miss it.
