Light Leak

It happens a lot with the Fuji 645. It is probably the way I put a film in it.
Every time I see it happening, I am rather excited than disappointed.

Pretty wings

I am very happy that Maxwell is back on making his music.
This song is just simply beautiful. His voice makes me cry.
His new album "Black summer's night" became one of my all time favorites.

On a hot summer day

Apparently the rainy season hasn't officially ended yet here in Shizuoka, though there has been a lot of sunny days lately. I know there are certain things that you can only take photos of when it is raining, but I just don't like to go out on a rainy day to shoot worrying too much about protecting my camera(s) from the rain. So when the blue sky greets us in the morning with the buzz of cicadas, I just feel like going out with a couple of my cameras even though I know I will sweat like crazy. Getting sticky with my own sweat is better than getting wet with the rain, at least for me.

Last Sunday afternoon, I had lunch with a good friend at a restaurant where another good friend works for. After good food and nice chat, there came a time for photo shooting.

I ended up kidnapping her...I mean taking her to the place near my apartment. It had been one of the places where I really wanted to take photos of her at. I was grateful that she was more than willing to let me make it happen. It was a very hot day, but somehow we enjoyed being under the sun and feeling the start of summer, just like we thought we should be.

It is natural that it is hot because it is summer. Let our bodies perspire.
(It is natural that you are down because you are sad. Let yourself shed tears.)

I had a great sunday.

Last sunday

Last Sunday I did two things that I like to do which involved two things that I usually don't like to do.

All in all, it was a nice day.
I met some cool new people whom I share an interest in photography with.
It was fun to talk with them and to see what kind of subjects they were looking for for their photography.
Looking at the snap shots they took of the streets , I realized once again that I really like to focus on portraits.

I like looking at a person through a finder and also I like being looked at by that person through a lens.

---------

The four things said above:taking photos, meeting new people, playing basketball, staying out in the cold weather. You know which ones I liked to do and which ones I didn't.

(Well, meeting new people is fun and I like it actually but it just makes me so freaking nervous.)

I had a good day, but I got so tired that I had to spend half the next day just being lazy as lack of sleep from Friday night didn't help me get out of the bed  either.
Thank goodness it was a national holiday on Monday.
