個展のお知らせです。

撮りためてきた作品を何かの形にする時が来た、と思い立ったのが数ヶ月前。
写真のセレクト、プリント、展示の仕方、当初考えていたものから、少しずつ余分なものをそぎ落とし、必要な肉付けをし、落ち着くところに落ち着いた気がしています。

写真は、限りなく個人的なものであり、主観的なものであり、真実なんだ、と再認識した準備期間の数ヶ月間。

展示をすることで、客観的な視点をプラスすることができるだろうし、見てくれた人の意見を聞くこともできる。何より私自身が、ギャラリーに飾られた私の作品を見るのが楽しみです。

２年前、ベビーレンズを使って撮った写真。
ほら、また前髪パッツンボブにしたくなってきた〜。

今日は大切な友人の誕生日。
というか、なんかもう家族みたいな気分でいますけど。
おそらく、彼女の周りにいる人はみんなそう思ってると思う。
彼女は自分の家族、彼女は自分のことを家族と思ってくれている、に違いない。
そう思わせてくれる、大きくて広く、深いハートの持ち主です。
ときどき、無理して大きく広げ過ぎているのが分る。
ハートを狭めざるを得ないとき、つらそうなのも分る。

人の痛み、人の弱さ、人のつらさが分る人は、人に優しい。

６年後、私も彼女のような女性になっていたいと思います。

The other day I was back in the darkroom for the first time in a long time. The clock in the photo above shows what time we were there at a rental darkroom/gallery. It was AM, not PM. Darkroom activity plus drinking with fellow camera nerds is a joyful moment.
It was a lot of fun and I would like to go back there again soon.

When I saw him walking on the street with those cameras around his neck, I couldn't help but go and talk to him even though I am usually too shy to do something like that.
With the same interest and love for photography, we had a good chat for a few minutes about cameras. Thanks to the power of iPhone and Facebook, at the end of our conversation I got his contact info and he got mine.
He was very friendly and gave me the killer smile for me when I asked for a photo of him.
I hope he can join us when I go out for shooting with my fellow camera nerds sometime.

It's been almost three weeks since I got this freaking cold and still haven't been able to get rid of it completely. Because of that, even on a summer day like today, I don't feel like drinking beer. WTF. Right now I don't want to think about alcohol at all. I can't wait to get a full recovery.

So this guy was walking with a cat on his shoulder.
Yes, you heard me right. He was walking around downtown like that.
I wouldn't have had a courage to talk to him and ask for a photo if he hadn't been with a cat.
He seemed like a shy guy even though he dressed like a tough guy.
The cat's name is Marble and it was a very friendly cat.

Actually I saw him and Marble only a few minutes after I saw another dude with a cat.

Is this some kind of trend that's been hot lately?
